Pillo promotes the sustainable management, optimisation and conservation of environmental resources. Thanks to constant investments in research and innovation of products, technologies and materials, the company has succeeded in progressively reducing industrial waste and energy consumption.
Aware of the key role played by packaging, we focus on developing increasingly sustainable and recyclable solutions, selecting only cardboard from sustainably managed forests and testing innovative components such as biodegradable plastics.
The packaging of Pillo products is I'm Green certified. It is the world's first biobased plastic produced on an industrial scale, a polyethylene derived from sugar cane. Developed in 2010 at the Innovation & Technology Centre in Braskem, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, it has one major advantage: it is produced from renewable resources, so the production process captures carbon dioxide. This packaging therefore contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions!
FSC 100%All paper materials used come from responsibly managed and FSC-certified forests. Products with the FSC 100% label contribute most directly to the global mission of ensuring thriving forests for all, forever.
